Mark Swaffield Principal
Mark completed his Bachelor of Business in 1990 and has fifteen years experience in Accounting. Beginning his career in Moura, where he spent three years, he worked in Mackay for a year before relocating to Rockhampton to join Olive Swaffield and Associates (previously known as Anderson and Fry and Anderson, Bowser and Swaffield). Mark became a CPA in 1998 and gained his public practice certificate in 1999. Mark is a Commissioner of Declarations.
Matthew Hayes Principal
Matthew completed his Bachelor of Business degree from Central Queensland University in 1992. Whilst studying (and until it was sold) he was a director (and licensed real estate agent) of a local real estate agency controlling some 250 rental properties. After completing his studies, he went to work in public practice at Michael Shanahan and Company where he has been ever since. Apart from two stints in England (totalling almost 2 years), where he and his wife had a working holiday. In London, Matthew worked as a Finance Manager for a large company that collected and distributed music royalties for musicians in England and across Europe.
Matthew became qualified as a CPA in 1996 and a partner in Michael Shanahan and Company (now Shanahan Swaffield Partners) in July 2002. Matthew is also an Authorised Representative of Count Financial Ltd and can provide investment and retirement advice.
Anni Bastin-Byrne Partner
Anni completed a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) with distinction degree from Central Queensland University in 1998. Whilst studying she began working in 1994 in public practice at Michael Shanahan & Company.
Anni became a qualified CPA in 2001 and a partner in Michael Shanahan and Company (Shanahan Swaffield Partners) in July 2002.
Previously, Anni worked in accounting firms, provided bookkeeping services for private business and operated a newsagency business.
Anni is also a Justice of the Peace (Qualified).
Kerry Olive Senior Consultant
Kerry gained experience in the finance industry with the Commonwealth Bank and Central Queensland University completing her Bachelor of Business in 1984. Kerry went on to work for a local Accounting firm, Shanahan’s, for eight years before joining Anderson and Fry in 1996. During this time she became a CPA and received her public practice certificate in 1997. Kerry is also a Commissioner of Declarations.
Jayne Fry Senior Accountant
Jayne completed a Bachelor of Business in 1981 and commenced work in the Accounting Industry at Kennas, Rockhampton, immediately after her degree. In 1983 Jayne became a CPA and in between having a family, worked with the Girls Grammar School, Denham Bros and Ray White, Yeppoon, before joining with Graham Anderson to create Anderson & Fry, which later evolved into Olive Swaffield and Associates. Jayne also held a position as director on the Port Alma Port Authority for a short time and is a Commissioner of Declarations.
Rhonda Jones Business Development Manager
Rhonda’s extensive knowledge of the Rural Industry and broad experience in business management will prove an invaluable resource for Business Support Services and Success clients. Rhonda’s background in Business Management has been firmly established over her working career.
She spent 13 years as the Executive Director Australian Braford Society, the last three of those also as Managing Director of Charbray Society and Romagnola Breeders. The experience working with these three organisations provided knowledge of Grant Applications, dealing with Government Departments and working for Committees.
Responsible for the organisation and successful running of the first ever World Braford Congress in Australia in 2006. This event required extensive outside sponsorship support and organisation - from a World Forum to accommodation for overseas guests. Held position on Promotion Committee for Beef 2000, and successfully organised the Charity Musters for Beef 1997 and Beef 2000 successfully raising $76,000 for the Heart Foundation. Prior to this Rhonda ran a mixed business on the Darling Downs with her husband for 9 years, worked in Accounts Department of a large department store and WIN Television (both inToowoomba).
Justin Nothling Financial Planner
Justin has six years of experience in the provision of financial planning advice. Justin attained a Masters of Business Administration from Central Queensland University in 2000 and a Diploma of Financial Planning from Deakin University in 2003. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association, and principal of InvestRight Wealth Management.
Gordon Dallow Finance & Insurance Risk Management
Gordon’s brings to our organisation 15 years experience in insurance and finance risk management within the Rockhampton Motor Vehicle Industry. Prior to that Gordon spend twelve years working for TAA/Qantas in various locations and areas including management.
His background includes growing up in Mount Isa, schooling in Charters Towers and working for Mount Isa Mines.
